Brownback Knows the Truth, and Evolution Isn't It
In the conclusion to his NY Times op-ed piece on evolution, Senator Sam Brownback states "we can say with conviction that we know with certainty" which aspects of evolutionary theory may be true and which parts cannot be and therefore must be rejected.
How much of the world's ills and idiocies are bound up in the phrase "we can say with conviction that we know with certainty"?
Perhaps at some point Sen. Brownback can spell out why the rest of us should take seriously his conviction that his faith is absolutely correct and can be used to "purify" the reason that the rest of us might choose to apply to questions like that of evolution.
