The black poor, having been fucked over since the day they were born—
having been fucked over for generations before they were born—were
fucked over for the crime of having been fucked over. And Bush and
Cheney will be leading to the promised land of government contracts the
same free-market and faith-based scum in suits who have been doing
the fucking over. William Burroughs’s line is apt, this was a “frozen moment
when everyone sees what is on the end of every fork.” Not an easy lunch
to swallow, but corporate America will manage.
